As a leading provider of senior living services, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. We are currently seeking an Activities Director who is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for seniors.

At Capital Senior Living, we believe that working with seniors is a fulfilling and enriching experience. We are looking for an Activities Director to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities of the Activities Director include:
  • Designing, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents throughout the week. Evaluating and updating resident preferences to tailor programming accordingly.
  • Recognizing the unique needs of each resident and developing individualized plans to address those needs, including adaptations for accessibility.
  • Engaging residents in the planning of recreational goals and objectives.
  • Facilitating resident involvement in community activities and outings, including intergenerational programs and community service initiatives.
  • Supporting the spiritual well-being of residents by collaborating with community clergy and providing appropriate resources.
  • Managing the upkeep of community transportation, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to enhance program delivery.
  • Encouraging innovative ideas and implementing creative programs while recognizing similar contributions from others.
  • Building a positive community image through effective public relations and promotional activities.
  • Expanding the network of community connections and referral sources.
  • Collaborating with leadership on community events and functions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, or certification as an Activity Professional is preferred.
  • Experience in activities management is preferred.
  • A strong commitment to providing outstanding service and care to senior residents.
  • A dependable and responsible approach to teamwork.
  • An open-minded attitude, willing to share and embrace new ideas.
