We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Homes & Services. As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment and leisure life programming for residents, ensuring a high-quality experience that meets the needs and preferences of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Implement assigned activities that promote resident engagement and satisfaction, including creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth, and learning.
- Perform assigned work routines and daily assignments to meet the psychosocial and activities needs of residents, including creating and leading group and individual activities, outings, and special events.
- Assist residents with activities of their choice, including shopping, running errands, assisting with correspondence, reading, and writing letters.
- Provide one-on-one interaction with residents based on their preferences and needs.
- Transport residents to other parts of the community as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Class B license or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and good rapport with residents, staff, families, and volunteers.
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
