About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Cook to join our team at ESS Alaska. As a Head Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving freshly cooked meals to the residents of our remote site work camp.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook delicious meals in quantities per menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Plan menus taking advantage of leftover foods and foods in season.
  • Order supplies and maintain records and accounts.
  • Direct and train activities of workers assigned to shift.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure food safety, a safe workplace, and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with laws, regulations, company vision, values, guiding principles, and policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Formal craft training is preferred.
  • ServSafe certification required.
  • Alaska Food Worker Card required.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record may be required.
  • First Aid Certification may be required.
  • CPR Certification may be required.
