Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join our team at Embraer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for examining, repairing, assembling, and testing aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and other components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components.
  • Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced, and decide upon the necessary repair scheme, parts needed, and secure necessary parts from stores or departmental supplies.
  • Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures for subject components or systems, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspect completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework, perform rework, and ensure that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the OEM.
  • Complete work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submit completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review, and submit to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
  • Provide supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested.
  • Properly account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • High School/ GED
  • A or P License preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in at least one aircraft type, with proficiency demonstrated in at least one aircraft discipline through prior work experience, including Structures.
