Job Summary:

STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Aircraft Composites Technician to join our team in Macon, Georgia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for examining, repairing, assembling, and testing aircraft accessories, such as engines, power brake units, auxiliary electric motors, spark igniters, valves, pumps, fuselage, wings, and oil and fuel tanks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components.
  • Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced and decide upon the necessary repair scheme, quantity, and type of parts needed.
  • Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures for subject components or systems, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspect completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework and ensure that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the OEM.
  • Complete work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submit completed/in-progress work to the Maintenance Lead for review and submit to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
  • Provide the supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested.
  • Properly account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Comply with repair station procedures (RSM /QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing aircraft or component maintenance.
