Key Responsibilities:
As a Construction Cost Analyst, you will:

• Generate detailed quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for projects from inception to an acceptable budget or lump sum price.

• Coordinate project documentation for various bidding methods.

• Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor scopes prior to contract awards.

• Gather and present unit pricing data.

• Outline clarifications and qualifications within estimates.

• Provide backup for estimates during analysis and review processes.

• Identify and contact sources for cost estimates on specialty items.

• Recognize indirect costs and general conditions within estimates.

• Apply knowledge of unit pricing and material/labor components.

• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

• Produce manpower estimates that align with construction estimates.

• Compile comprehensive estimate/bid package breakdowns based on input from team members.

• Develop estimating protocols for specific documentation types.

• Manage pre-bid and post-bid processes for all trade contractors.

• Create bid documents, identify, and pre-qualify a robust database of bidders, generating interest on a project-by-project basis.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Finance.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Proficient in estimating software and tools for take-offs.
• Familiarity with market pricing and trends.
• Basic understanding of conceptual estimating.
• Strong public speaking skills and the ability to lead meetings confidently.
• Basic knowledge of construction law, contracts, and risk management.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read construction drawings and interpret specifications.
• Capability to prepare and analyze bids and maintain procurement records.


Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
