Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EMT Lieutenant to lead our Specialty Care Transport Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall and day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring operational objectives are met and policies, procedures, and protocols are implemented and enforced.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate input from upper level management to ensure operational objectives are met.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and protocols directly related to the Specialty Care transport service line.
- Accountable for the implementation and enforcement of all SFH and SFH EMS policies, procedures, and protocols by Specialty Care staff.
- Serves as the liaison between SCTU personnel and upper level management.
Requirements
- State of Delaware EMT-B certification.
- National Registry EMT-B certification.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate's degree, Bachelor's or equivalent preferred.
- Considerable experience as a pre-hospital supervisor or public safety administrator.
- Meets or exceeds current standards for Critical Care Paramedic II / FTO.
- Instructorships preferred in: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, PHTLS.
