Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Professional to join our team at Salem Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment throughout all hospital departments, patient areas, offices, corridors, and other hospital-controlled areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and staff offices.
  • Operate and maintain heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and extractors.
  • Restock and replenish supplies, including paper products, chemicals, and linens.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including nursing and maintenance, to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
