Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at FUJIFILM Sonosite. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing technical functions, testing equipment, handling repairs, managing engineering projects, answering incoming service calls and emails, engaging with clients, ensuring compliance, conducting feasibility studies, and managing work schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and answer questions relating to the installation and operation of system components.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic/mechanical devices.
  • Handle incoming e-mail and telephone support requests.
  • Proactive support and service to customers.
  • Perform first line support activities including system installations and upgrades, custom configurations, troubleshooting, bug reporting and other site services.
  • Provide assistance encompassing all aspects of the sales cycle including technical support to sales personnel in pre-sales demonstrations, product installations and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate hardware faults to the PCBA level.
  • Enter problems and resolutions in an electronic knowledge base.
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company quality system.
  • Ensure proper procedures and policies are followed on all customer servicing.
  • Updating labor/time tracker and compiling appropriate trip reports.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Preferred associate degree in a technical field of study.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a repair environment; preferably in the repair and preventative maintenance of electrical or electro/mechanical devices.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of fault isolation techniques for digital and analog circuitry.
  • Oracle or similar business system experience/skills are desired.
  • Effective communication skills and familiarity MS Office suites a must.
  • Good IT skills (networking and connectivity) a big plus.
  • A valid driver's license a must.
  • A valid passport a must.
What We Offer
  • $73,000 - $95,000 depending on experience + variable bonus opportunity.

  • Retirement Plan (401k): 4% automatic Company contribution, Fujifilm matches 50 cents for every dollar you contribute, up to 6% of your salary.
  • Paid Time Off: You can accrue up to three (3) weeks of PTO in your first year of employment, PTO increases based on years of service.
  • Employee Choice Holidays: Four (4) additional paid days off, based on date of hire in the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays: Eight (8) paid holidays per year.
