Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Improvement Manager to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing hospice-wide performance improvement activities, quality, and infection control programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs hospice-wide performance improvement activities, quality, and infection control programs.
  • Implements and oversees the Electronic Health Record, including financial and clinical applications.
  • Acts as the regulatory and compliance expert and is the system-wide liaison with the compliance department.
  • Coordinates all aspects of EHR and other software requirements, upgrades, clinician laptop deployment, billing requirements for payers, and other computer operational requirements.
  • Participates in the development of the annual strategic plan and annual entity performance targets.
  • Collaborates with hospice leadership team to assess, measure, and report meaningful data such as patient/family satisfaction tools, internal and external benchmarking metrics.
  • Ensures annual OSHPD and other reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Participates in budget development and agency productivity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience in Quality Improvement/Utilization Management.
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant field.
  • Prior experience in managerial or leadership position.
  • Hospice experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of statistical principles required.
  • Understanding and application of theoretical and scientific process for continuous quality improvement required.
  • Strong computer software and computer network skills required.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all quality assessment department information required.
  • Upholds California Evidence Code 1157 required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in related areas preferred.
