Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Manager for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring the provision of exceptional pediatric healthcare, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of clinical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and business insight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patient safety within the PICU clinical environment.
  • Utilize effective communication and information management in daily operations.
  • Uphold the ANA Standards of Care and Professional Practice.
  • Act as a liaison to cultivate partnerships with patients and their families.
  • Make informed decisions to ensure continuity and coordination of care across various settings.
  • Maintain high-quality, age-appropriate care for the pediatric population.
  • Develop specific initiatives and process improvements for the PICU Department.
  • Foster collaborative practices and relationships with all healthcare team members.
  • Oversee management of personnel at various levels, including supervisory roles, payroll, budget, and physician relations.
  • Serve as a liaison for the hospital, community, and other healthcare institutions.
  • Organize and supervise both human and material resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics is essential.
  • A minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity is required.
