Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Associate to join our team at UPMC Horizon-Greenville. As a Patient Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Outpatient Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient registration and ancillary testing with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and management of the department.
  • Obtain patient consent and maintain confidentiality of hospital information.
  • Perform EKGs and procure laboratory specimens using established procedures.
  • Provide directions to areas within the facility and promote a positive hospital image.
  • Collect and record patient payments and access medication storage areas as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in patient registration and technical skills/experience with EKGs and specimen procurement preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and computer experience preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Clearances and Certifications
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance required.
