We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission process for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assign accurate Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and complete medical necessity/compliance checks for all patients.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience throughout the admission process.
- Collect and process insurance information, physician orders, and other relevant documentation.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, and provide compassionate and empathetic interactions with patients and their families.
- Meet point of service goals and objectives, and contribute to the overall success of the Patient Access team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
