Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Clerk II to join our team at DTSV, Inc. in a warehouse mail processing facility. As a General Clerk II, you will play a critical role in supporting the containment room, ensuring the safe and efficient processing of mail and packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process mail and packages using conveyors and automated equipment, including scanners and test equipment.
  • Screen mail using provided test equipment and training, distinguishing between outgoing and domestic mail.
  • Lift and carry moderate to heavy mail packages and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Perform assigned tasks within the functional area, including but not limited to:
    • Processing mail manually off carrier trucks in containment using conveyors.
    • Scanning received items into ILMS using provided scanners.
    • Responsible for X-raying all items received in containment.
    • Signing for carrier drop-off after scanning in containment.
    • Sorting and pre-sorting small parcels in containment.
    • Setting up containment rooms for daily processing, ensuring sufficient supplies.
    • Properly identifying different classes/groups of mail.
    • Screening letters in the Tritek room.
    • Labeling and tagging processed small parcel and letter mail in containment.
    • Using provided trays to screen flats/small parcels in containment.
    • Receiving and processing CA mail for dispatch.
    • Operating the dock levelers/conveyors after Teams Leads have secured carriers truck keys.
    • Plugging the CA truck during winter when assigned to the CA Team.
    • Performing all duties of a General Clerk I and other support duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience in a high-volume production mail operation, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete online warehouse skills assessment.
  • Ability to successfully complete corporate background investigation, including credit and criminal check.
  • Ability to successfully complete lift test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government suitability determination/clearance.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite skills.
  • Ability to express/exchange ideas clearly in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times.
  • Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to relate to others in a friendly, courteous, and business-like manner.

Work Environment

This position is performed onsite at a Federal Government warehouse/mail processing facility where both safety and security protocols are paramount.
