Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Swim Teacher. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling classes, and communicating with swim instructors and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial class scheduling and communication with customers to determine proper swim classes for enrollment.
  • Communication with swim instructors to update achieved swim skills in student database.
  • Coordinate with parents/customers to transfer students to next level of swim program when ready as well as change current scheduling as needed.
  • Account management with regards to makeup lessons, cancellations and re-enrollments.
  • Perform multiple roles in the company as needed, including swim instruction based on the Blue Gems curriculum (training provided).
  • Lifeguard/CPR certification should be obtained within 60 days of hiring (training provided either -in-house or off-site, cost of the certification will be reimbursed).
  • Effectively communicate progress and feedback to students and their parents or guardians, ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Processing in-person enrollments.
  • Executing transactions of retail goods for sale at the facility.
  • Perform various cleaning/maintenance duties according to pre-shift and post-shift checklist.
  • Assist with closing and securing the facility.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures including phone etiquette.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
  • Ability to learn new software as required.
  • Basic computer database experience including Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task between in person, phone and email communications simultaneously.
