Electrical Inspector Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team in San Diego, California. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of various filtration systems at the wastewater/water treatment plant
  • Take project photographs on a daily basis and file them
  • Maintain office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and write daily diaries
  • Prepare daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
  • Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
  • Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as-built plans
  • Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems, and report to supervisor with proposed solution
  • Collect, review, and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other information relevant to the materials used
  • May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors
Requirements:
  • 2-year degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of related experience on field projects, as well as formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of inspection assignment
  • Some knowledge of public works contracts is desirable
  • Construction safety training, including OSHA 10 hour training and Parsons SHARP training
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical inspection of systems at a wastewater and/or water treatment plant
