Job Title: Inventory Control Associate

Kemps, a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing, delivery scheduling, and inventory control of packaging and ingredient materials for plant operations. This role will ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Orders packaging, ingredient materials, and other needed supplies to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery of requested products.
  • Monitors incoming shipments of goods, enters data into computer systems, and identifies errors in delivery for timely correction.
  • Works with suppliers to process damaged or defective goods and resolve issues.
  • Designs trucks of purchased products for delivery to warehouses or key accounts and coordinates with plant transportation employees.
  • Monitors physical inventories, takes sample counts, and reviews physical and perpetual inventory records to identify discrepancies.
  • Works with internal sales representatives and account managers to communicate inventory status on promotions, out-of-stock, and new products.
  • Enters receivers, requisitions, and POs into computerized systems and verifies output in inventory records.
  • May assist with accounts payable items, including tax accrual and utility file maintenance.
  • Compiles information into an access database for product tracking and provides data for question/answer inquiries.
  • Provides information and support to plant management, quality assurance, and plant employees during the absence of the production planner or other office staff.
