JOB SUMMARY

Drive the organization's inventory management objectives for designated suppliers, focusing on exemplary customer service, accuracy in purchase orders (cost, quantity, dates), minimizing spoilage and shrinkage, and managing inventory to achieve optimal Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Implement a replenishment strategy that enhances supply chain efficiencies, in collaboration with:
- Shipping and receiving.
- Warehousing.
- Order fulfillment, picking, and packing.
- Inventory oversight and record management. Leverage inventory systems to attain ideal inventory and service levels through supplier and item-specific settings, along with supply chain best practices, policies, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategically maintain inventory levels while enhancing customer service standards.
  • Oversee Inventory DSO, aged inventory, obsolete stock, spoilage, and shrinkage to meet corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with local, market, and corporate merchandising teams, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the Manhattan inventory planning tool Demand Planning Replenishment (DPR) to enhance team performance as reflected in DPR scorecards, dashboards, and merchandising key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Partner with the logistics team to optimize supply chain efficiencies.
  • Work with Inbound Planning to develop strategies that enhance receiving and warehousing efficiencies.
  • Manage Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) counts (min 2,300-4,000 SKUs vendor direct, 3500+ redistributed or 750 purchase order perishable lines weekly) and address replenishment challenges as necessary.
  • Maintain performance levels while achieving established KPIs.
  • Facilitate the purchasing of new items and ensure timely system setup.
  • Process salesforce 360 requests, including NISR and MSR requests, promptly.
  • Adapt to market conditions within set corporate and market guidelines.
  • Recognize seasonal trends for aligned suppliers.
  • Manage and comprehend commodity purchasing dynamics.
  • Implement enterprise purchasing initiatives.
  • Verify all POs for pricing and quantity accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to late or missing POs.
  • Address and resolve Cora requests in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school diploma required.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

3+ years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for 3 years of Inventory Management/Purchasing experience (Bachelor's: +1 year Inventory Management/Purchasing experience).

Experience in a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment is essential.

Inventory Management/Purchasing experience in a distributor with 10,000+ SKUs is preferred.
