Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the corrections facility, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Respond to emergency medical situations promptly and effectively.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for side effects or reactions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and patient records.
  • Educate patients about health conditions and provide advice and emotional support.
  • Comply with all facility and nursing standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in continuous education, training, and professional development activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid RN license in the state of GA.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a corrections, acute care, or similar environment.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Exceptional clinical skills, including the ability to assess and diagnose patients effectively and develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
