Location: Various locations across Texas

Cytotechnologists, also known as Cell Analysis Specialists, are medical professionals who specialize in examining cell samples to detect cancer and other diseases. They play a critical role in early diagnosis and treatment, making it possible for patients to receive timely and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and evaluate cytology specimens for abnormalities, utilizing advanced techniques and technologies to ensure accurate results.
  • Document findings and communicate results to pathologists, providing clear and concise information to support informed decision-making.
  • Stay current with advances in cytopathology techniques, attending conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
  • Assist in educating healthcare staff about cytology practices, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of excellence.
  • Maintain quality control in sample processing, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest level of accuracy and reliability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in cytotechnology or a related field, such as biology, chemistry, or medical technology.
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist (e.g., ASCP), demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Good communication abilities, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Estimated Salary: $64,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
