About the Role

The Radiologic Technologist IV will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of AHMC HealthCare's diagnostic imaging department. This position requires a skilled and experienced radiologic technologist to perform a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic, and specialized procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Image Quality and Safety: Consistently produce high-quality x-ray, MRI, and CT images within hospital guidelines and department standards, prioritizing patient safety and adhering to exam protocols and film processing procedures.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately complete documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, film labeling, and computer entry, while performing other clerical duties as necessary.
  • Clinical Information and Communication: Obtain patient clinical information that may affect diagnostic testing, document and communicate this information to the appropriate clinical staff, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Competency and Training: Maintain clinical competency by participating in in-service education and other continuing education activities, and participate in the training of departmental personnel and students.
  • Infection Control and Sterile Technique: Assist MDs and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently, following sterile technique, infection control guidelines, and department standards.
  • Work Flow and Prioritization: Evaluate personal and department work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care, prioritize work according to urgency and resources, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Quality Control and Quality Improvement: Understand and implement department quality control and quality improvement plans, performing QC/QI activities as assigned.
  • Resource Utilization and Inventory Management: Use supplies and resources efficiently and cost-effectively, and may be responsible for specific inventory and stocking of supplies, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the department.

Requirements and Qualifications
