DCS Corp is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to the mission of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate. This role involves supporting a wide array of programs aimed at modernizing and sustaining the portfolio of the PEO Digital, which encompasses numerous initiatives for the United States Air Force and allied nations.

As a key member of the team, you will engage in various engineering tasks, focusing on system research, design, development, installation, testing, and operational support. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles will be crucial in ensuring that operational safety and suitability are prioritized in all engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough system engineering reviews and analyses throughout all phases of system development.
  • Innovate and enhance existing methodologies and techniques to improve system performance.
  • Translate Department of Defense user requirements into actionable system specifications.
  • Evaluate system design baselines to ensure compliance with architectural and interoperability standards.
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive system specifications and architecture documentation.
  • Perform independent assessments of proposed engineering modifications and provide informed recommendations.
  • Support life cycle cost assessments for proposed systems and components.
  • Contribute to test planning and evaluation, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
  • Monitor and report on testing and evaluation efforts across various systems.
  • Assist in the design and execution of test programs, including documentation and analysis of results.

Design & Architecture Responsibilities:

  • Support all engineering activities throughout the acquisition process, from analysis to deployment.
  • Conduct architectural assessments to determine system design feasibility and state-of-the-art capabilities.
  • Document and analyze system architectures, identifying deficiencies and proposing solutions.
  • Detail operational requirements and interactions within the system and with external systems.
  • Translate user requirements into system specifications for development and evaluation.
  • Provide engineering assessments of training systems and equipment.

Acquisition Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective DoD acquisition processes to meet life-cycle requirements.
  • Prepare and review specifications for materials and processes.
  • Utilize analytical techniques to optimize system performance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and integrate milestone review documentation and reports as per DoD guidelines.
  • Evaluate contractor drawings for technical accuracy and compliance with requirements.

Technical Management Responsibilities:

  • Support requirements definition, architecture design, and risk management activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices across all stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to assess current and future systems against mission needs.
  • Perform trade-off studies to evaluate performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Develop and execute Test and Evaluation Master Plans and associated documentation.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of the work. Candidates should possess either a High School Diploma with 15 years of relevant experience (8 years in DoD) or a Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline with 12 years of experience (5 years in DoD). A Secret Security clearance is required.

Experience in electrical engineering, including design, circuit analysis, and testing, is essential. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and configuration management principles is also important.

Desired Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited program is preferred.
