QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with store operations and merchandising strategies.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and sales abilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Willingness to learn various tasks and technical requirements, including successful completion of forklift and power jack training, along with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly lift up to 20 lbs., including overhead lifting, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 40 lbs. consistently.
  • Stand or walk for the entirety of the shift.
  • Frequently reach, grasp, and lift individual stock items at various heights.
  • Engage in frequent bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Handle a variety of substances related to cleaning materials, packaging, and food products.
  • Tolerate extreme temperatures for brief periods.
  • Proficient in using computers, calculators, and communication systems necessary for job functions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Assist in managing all aspects of Center Store operations as assigned by the Center Store Manager.
  • Effectively lead all Center Store associates.
  • Exemplify exceptional customer service and utilize skills to provide solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Contribute to sales growth through effective merchandising techniques.
  • Maintain efficient work schedules to meet production and customer service standards while accommodating associates' personal needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for associates as directed.
  • Stay informed of and adhere to all standard practices outlined in the Center Store Standard Practices Manual.
  • Ensure department conditions regarding appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety are upheld at the highest standards.
  • Understand and utilize company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity metrics, ordering, and business information systems.
  • Receive, store, process, and merchandise all products according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, shrinkage, sales, and inventory.
  • Cut, mark, and stock products as needed.
  • Assist in communicating department and company policies to associates.
  • Perform various departmental functions as required to meet production and customer service standards.
  • Treat all store information as confidential.
  • Assist in special projects as necessary.
  • Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
