Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Civil Engineering Technology courses at Pellissippi State Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and teach classes as assigned, adhering to course descriptions and syllabi.
  • Supervise student learning activities and evaluate academic progress.
  • Submit requests for equipment, supplies, and instructional aids through the department head or program coordinator.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures outlined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
  • Submit course grades and perform administrative duties as required.
  • Schedule office hours, with a written plan submitted to the Dean for extenuating circumstances.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in Civil Engineering Technology or a closely related field, along with three years of work experience in the field, is required.

This is a part-time, term-by-term position, with future teaching assignments determined on a yearly basis.
