We are seeking a seasoned Senior Account Manager to join our Commercial Team. This strategic advisor role will play a crucial part in developing cohesive relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coverage-related inquiries and analysis, driving renewal efforts, and partnering with Producers on prospective marketing initiatives. This team member will be a proactive problem solver with demonstrated success in servicing a book of Community Associations and other Real Estate accounts (mixed use, commercial, apartments, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers by meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Leverage commercial P&C insurance knowledge and expertise to actively service existing accounts and develop new business opportunities
  • Foster an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in AMS accordingly
  • Nurture professional relationships through the facilitation of personal client meetings and consistent client contact
  • Participate in the retention of renewal business. Interacting with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance products
  • Ensure the client has continuous and proper coverage and advising the client of any recommendations within a mutually established timeline
  • Review current policies and providing recommendations regarding placement options. Utilizing coverage checklists and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiums
  • Support the implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and Carrier
  • Execute coverage analysis as needed as well as provide the client with accurate quotes for any additional coverages

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience of Commercial Lines client management experience
  • Valid P&C license
  • College degree preferred
  • Industry-specific designations preferred- CISR, ARM or similar
  • Proficient in insurance agency management systems, AMS 360 and Work Smart preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting, coverage, rate analysis/procedures & experience reporting
  • Ability to clearly articulate these products/plans to clients and underwriters, including compliance and legislative information
  • Understanding of marketplace trends and best practices to best meet client needs
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to collect, interpret and/or analyze complex data and information
  • Flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills
