Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of maintenance technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Driving employee engagement to create a high-performance maintenance team.
  • Developing and implementing training programs to keep the team updated on leading-edge maintenance practices.
  • Staying abreast of industry-leading maintenance practices, technology, and innovations.
  • Working closely with the Director of Engineering to integrate leading-edge processes and optimize the maintenance workflow.
  • Championing the implementation of state-of-the-art tools and technologies to enhance maintenance operations.
  • Developing and implementing a robust predictive maintenance program to anticipate and prevent equipment failures.
  • Utilizing condition monitoring, data analysis, and other predictive maintenance techniques to optimize equipment performance.
  • Ensuring timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Overseeing maintenance projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field degree.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a lumber or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of leading-edge maintenance processes, predictive maintenance techniques, and project management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with advanced maintenance tools and technologies.
  • Proven ability to implement change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, openly communicating and listening to others.
Estimated Salary Range:

$100,000 - $125,000 per annum.
