Job Title: Principal Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Providence, RI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure projects in a wide range of contexts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure projects
  • Develop construction documents and manage projects from design development to construction
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues from various disciplines to deliver projects to construction
  • Participate in business development, project pursuits, and quality initiatives
  • Manage and lead company projects in the region, working closely with Engineering Group Managers and the Engineering Director
Requirements:
  • Professional Engineering license in RI
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering
  • At least 15 years of engineering experience developing construction documents and/or public agency construction administration
  • At least 5 years serving in a project and/or design management role
  • Broad knowledge base in civil engineering, with specific experience in roadway design, drainage design, geometric design, 3D modeling, and design of accessible public spaces
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple large/complex projects on time and on budget
  • Experience developing construction documents, preparing transportation and local agency permit documents, and managing engineering projects in the Northeast
