Your Impact

As an Assistant Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading smaller projects and supporting larger complex projects as a key team member
  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of junior-level staff, technicians, administrative staff, and draftspersons
  • Supporting senior staff with client relations, client and in-house technical presentations
  • Collaborating with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities
  • Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • 1-3 years of relevant post-education experience
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues
  • Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design
  • Highly familiar with relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
