POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Team Leader is a newly established role designed to support Vasion's ongoing rapid expansion. This position is primarily accountable for financial accounting, reporting, and period-end reconciliations. The individual will serve as a vital resource for the entire Vasion team and contribute significantly to the effective financial management of the organization. The functions of accounts receivable and accounts payable will report to the Accounting Team Leader. Key internal relationships will include the payroll manager, FP&A manager, business operations manager, and human resources. External relationships will involve the Company's bank, auditors, and vendors of software and information systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a member of the management team, assist in the development and execution of accounting, reporting, and compliance systems and strategies that align with Vasion's goals.
  • Lead and promote best practices within the accounting function to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Under the guidance of the Controller, act as a key resource for financial and planning information for company management, information systems, tax compliance, customer success, and other teams.
Specific Duties
  • Utilize Vasion's NetSuite accounting and ERP platform to manage and enhance the financial accounting and reporting functions. Serve as a primary resource for financial data and reporting from NetSuite.
  • Prepare comprehensive accounting and financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Contribute significantly to budgeting, planning, forecasting, cash management, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide financial information and analysis to management and other internal teams.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, bankers, and vendors of financial products and services.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably on the audit side with a Big4 firm.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting and reporting.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with teams at all organizational levels.
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification.
