Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, career-oriented Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Washington, DC. As an ISSO, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day implementation, oversight, and maintenance of security configuration, practices, and procedures for each Information System (IS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the implementation and operation of selected security controls during all phases of the IS lifecycle
  • Provide liaison support between the system owner and other IS security personnel
  • Develop and maintain system security documentation
  • Conduct IS vulnerability scans and develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities
  • Manage risks to ISs and other FBI assets by coordinating correction or mitigation actions
  • Monitor security controls for FBI ISs to maintain security Authorized to Operate (ATO)
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an ISSO at a cleared facility
  • Experience in a computer science or cybersecurity-related field
  • Hold at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, GISP, or CASP
  • Familiarity with security tools, including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Clearance Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
