Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer

Azure Summit Technology is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer to join our team. As an ISSO, you will be responsible for ensuring the security posture of our company and implementing information systems at our headquarters location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and monitor information systems to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) directives and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement government-approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of networked and standalone classified computers.
  • Provide guidance and support to system engineers and administrators for securing information systems in accordance with DISA STIGs and industry best practices.
  • Perform compliance validation scans using DoD-endorsed tools such as ACAS/Nessus and SCAP Compliance Checker.
  • Conduct self-inspections and maintain compliance with the RMF, NISPOM, DAAPM, and other government contractual security requirements.
  • Develop an information system security education program and provide training to all users of information systems supporting classified programs.
  • Support and maintain in-house computer workstations, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Coordinate the installation and upgrade of operating systems and layered software packages.
Requirements:
  • US citizenship
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as ISSO for classified networks/systems with knowledge of supporting information assurance activities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • ISSO Required Training as outlined in the DSS Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM)
  • 5 years previous experience as an ISSO for classified networks/systems with knowledge of supporting information assurance activities
  • Experience with the application and testing of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience preparing System Security Plans and POA&Ms
