Job Title: Development Specialist

Join The Food Group, a local food equity nonprofit, in a dynamic role that supports the development goals and strategies of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Grants Officer to submit grant proposals and funder reports.
  • Support appeal and newsletter writing in collaboration with the team.
  • Steward donor relationships and manage strategies for designated segments of donors.
  • Coordinate virtual cash drives with community partners and key food drive partnerships.
  • Handle questions, communication, and RSVPs to tours, virtual updates, and events.
  • Support gift entry and acknowledgement letter processing in Raiser's Edge.
  • Provide back-up and cross-training coverage for donation and acknowledgement processing.
  • Plan events in collaboration with different teams across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a solution-based approach.
  • Experience working with constituent databases a plus.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office programs and computer skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
