Job Overview

LaBine and Associates is in search of a Supply Chain Finance Specialist who will play a pivotal role in financial forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis to support the Operations team effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in financial planning and analysis or similar analytical roles, as this position demands exceptional quantitative and analytical capabilities.

This role will report directly to the COO and will involve close collaboration with the corporate FP&A team as well as various other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the analytical framework for budgeting and forecasting all expenditures managed by the supply chain.
  2. Create comprehensive reports to analyze variances against the budget and forecasts.
  3. Conduct in-depth investigations to identify operational drivers of variances and propose actionable solutions to enhance performance.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn, thrive in a dynamic environment, and exhibit meticulous attention to detail.

In response to recent changes in work dynamics, employees are expected to follow a hybrid working model, reporting in-person on designated days while having the flexibility to telework on others.

Due to the collaborative nature of our organization, in-person attendance is required on specified days, with accommodations available as per company policy.

Key Duties Include:

  1. Act as the primary resource for the COO regarding the financial performance of the Supply Chain.
  2. Develop and manage forecasting models for various expenditures, including product costs, tariffs, duties, facilities, warehousing, and freight.
  3. Analyze historical spending data to refine future forecasts and collaborate with operational teams to enhance assumptions.
  4. Work with the corporate FP&A team to integrate Supply Chain forecasts into the overall financial strategy of the company.
  5. Generate financial reports for the Supply Chain to assess variances against budgets, forecasts, and historical data.
  6. Perform detailed analyses on significant variances in monthly performance compared to forecasts or previous periods.
  7. Utilize financial analysis to identify and recommend operational improvements aimed at enhancing financial performance, such as cost reduction, sales growth, or process optimization.
  8. Conduct additional quantitative analyses to support strategic objectives within Operations, including productivity projects and capital investments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in FP&A, supply chain, logistics, or related fields, demonstrating strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and SQL is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a knack for summarizing data and identifying key trends swiftly.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and processes concurrently.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
