Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Registered Nurse is a key member of Proactive MD's clinical operations team, championing our Patient Promise: "We are only and always about the patient. We Promise to fight for their greatest good." This role involves performing clinical functions as directed by the provider in the clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures, utilizing appropriate medical equipment.
- Document objective and subjective data and assessments in the patient record, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Assist providers in all aspects of consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Provide patient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers, promoting patient education and empowerment.
- Manage medication reconciliation, patient compliance, inventory, and education, ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, and caregivers, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Triage calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation, ensuring timely and efficient patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active and in good standing Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- 1+ year of clinical nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 90 days after start date.
