Audiologist I, Speech Specialist

UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Audiologist I to provide comprehensive audiological diagnosis and evaluation, and to initiate and conduct habilitative and rehabilitative treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers and interprets routine and advanced diagnostic tests to assess hearing and balance functions.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to address hearing loss, central auditory processing disorders, and vestibular issues.
- Documents patient findings, treatment techniques, and progress in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to participate in teaching and research projects.
- Serves as a preceptor to audiology doctoral students, providing guidance and mentorship.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Audiology.
- Certification or eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
- Licensure or eligibility for Audiology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with adult and pediatric patients.
- Experience in electrophysiological and central auditory processing testing.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
