Position Overview

This role presents a valuable opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into the operations of an Athletics program. The selected candidate will engage with various facets of the business, administrative, and operational aspects of the Athletics department.

The intern will be responsible for representing the department during home games, leveraging our partnership with Pepsi to enhance visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with game management as required.
  • Prepare and coordinate pre-game activities, including national anthem performances and promotional contests during games and halftime.
  • Act as a liaison with Pepsi Promotions, placing orders as necessary.
  • Distribute Pepsi products to teams and officials during events.
  • Support both internal and external functions of the Athletics department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as needed.
  • Maintain regular office hours.
  • Contribute to the athletic department's presence at campus events.
  • Assist with Media Relations tasks as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in athletics or marketing.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Completion of mandatory staff training.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Punctuality in reporting to work.
