Job Summary

Are you interested in working at SLCC with our amazing staff and faculty? The Professional Development Center is seeking a highly independent and motivated candidate to join our teams. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Create a welcoming environment for the College Community as they enter the Professional Development Center to participate in professional development events.
-Under the general supervision of the Staff Development Coordinator, perform administrative and technical duties which require knowledge of Outlook suite and the College’s scheduling system (training provided).
-Assist with the room setup and take down of training workshops (i.e. including training name badges, workbooks, table tents, training room wall, etc.)
-Disseminate general information and sign for deliveries for staff, faculty and guests.
-Answer questions, solve problems, and make referrals where necessary as employees and students enter the Professional Development Center.-Occasionally assisting with the closing down and locking up of the Professional Development Center-Responsible for keeping the PDC tidy and organized, including the kitchen space.

Other duties as assigned Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications -Must be a current student at Salt Lake Community College eligible for or awarded work-study.-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Strong interpersonal skills, (customer service, written and oral communication).
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
