As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for performing cutting-edge research and reverse engineering on embedded technologies and architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Create and Develop Novel Security Applications: Design and implement innovative security solutions for embedded systems to protect against emerging threats.
- Support Research and Development Projects: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new research and development projects focused on embedded system security.
- Isolate Areas of Interest: Quickly identify and isolate areas of interest in large complex systems to inform our research and development efforts.
- Rapidly Prototype New Technologies: Develop and test new technologies to exploit target systems and stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Perform Vulnerability Research: Conduct in-depth research on hardened systems to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective countermeasures.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific domain, or 5 years of experience in the embedded security industry.
- Active US Security Clearance: Possess an active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
- Reverse Engineering Experience: Proven experience with wired and wireless networking protocols, as well as Linux on embedded hardware platforms and embedded systems debugging.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to dive deep into unknown territories.
- Advanced Degree: An advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific domain.
- Team Experience: Experience working as part of small R&D teams composed of researchers, engineers, and scientists.
- Firmware Development: Experience with firmware development and embedded systems.
- RF Expertise: Knowledge of RF protocols and technologies.
- Layer 1 and 2 Protocols: Experience with Layer 1 and 2 wired and wireless protocols such as USB, SPI/I2C/1-Wire, Ethernet, PCI-Express, 802.11, Bluetooth/ZigBee.
- Hacking Experience: Experience with hacking and reverse engineering of IoT products.
- Leadership Experience: Experience managing technical employees and engineers, as well as leading and managing a team of engineers.
