Rapides Regional Medical Center is a 350+ bed hospital and ER that provides a wide range of services, including cancer care and wound care. Our medical staff includes doctors in over 30 medical specialties. We are committed to providing excellent patient care and creating a positive work environment for our employees.

Responsibilities:

* Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
* Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients' medical records.
* Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patients' requests, proactively anticipating patients' needs, and resolving them.
* Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Qualifications:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
* Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
