We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide outstanding therapy services to students within educational environments. As a School-Based OT, your role will be crucial in assisting students to enhance their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess students' fine motor capabilities, sensory integration, and functional skills.
- Create and execute tailored treatment plans informed by assessment findings.
- Deliver direct therapy interventions to students requiring occupational therapy support.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address students' functional requirements.
- Track and document student progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing insights on student objectives and advancements.
- Provide advice and resources to educators and staff on strategies to promote student engagement and independence.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid state licensure in Texas or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in a school-based environment is preferred but not mandatory.
