Wet Process Equipment Engineer

The Media Development team at Western Digital is seeking a skilled engineer to enhance our Wet Process Equipment operations. This role involves supporting maintenance activities, upgrading existing systems, and assisting in the design and installation of new tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with the Line Maintenance team to address equipment service requests and ensure operational efficiency.
2. Stay informed about maintenance schedules and adhere to established protocols.
3. Maintain and update documentation to facilitate process improvements and maintenance activities.
4. Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives by evaluating performance metrics, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and executing modifications to Wet Process Equipment.
5. Work in conjunction with Operations to oversee equipment installations and upgrades.
6. Partner with Process Development teams to modernize legacy systems or innovate new equipment designs.
7. Contribute to the global development of Wet Process Equipment from initial design through to installation and verification phases.
8. Foster effective communication across all organizational levels, from operators to senior management.
9. Demonstrate the ability to operate within a cleanroom setting.
10. Exhibit strong written communication skills to document and convey procedures and protocols clearly.
