People Operations Manager

The People Operations Manager will oversee, strategize, and implement human resource functions, manage training initiatives, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess staffing requirements, conduct recruitment processes, perform initial interviews, and provide hiring recommendations.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Track and enhance organizational performance in relation to workforce objectives.
  • Deliver comprehensive information to all staff regarding company policies, compensation, and benefits.
  • Guarantee compliance with labor laws and regulations concerning wages and hours.
  • Process, record, and finalize weekly payroll for hourly employees.
  • Manage open enrollment periods, update employee files, and verify billing for all insurance benefits.
  • Oversee and administer employee benefit programs related to safety equipment.
  • Evaluate compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Supervise safety compliance and provide reports on safety-related matters.
  • Advise on policy formulation; regularly update the Employee Handbook as necessary.
  • Participate actively in daily meetings concerning scheduling, labor management, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with local educational institutions to create internship opportunities.
  • Monitor and sustain the employee suggestion program.
  • Support safety initiatives, including audits, incident investigations, and maintenance of safety logs as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma is mandatory; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with ADP payroll systems is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software.
