People Operations Manager
The People Operations Manager will oversee, strategize, and implement human resource functions, manage training initiatives, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess staffing requirements, conduct recruitment processes, perform initial interviews, and provide hiring recommendations.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires and identify areas for enhancement.
- Track and enhance organizational performance in relation to workforce objectives.
- Deliver comprehensive information to all staff regarding company policies, compensation, and benefits.
- Guarantee compliance with labor laws and regulations concerning wages and hours.
- Process, record, and finalize weekly payroll for hourly employees.
- Manage open enrollment periods, update employee files, and verify billing for all insurance benefits.
- Oversee and administer employee benefit programs related to safety equipment.
- Evaluate compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness.
- Supervise safety compliance and provide reports on safety-related matters.
- Advise on policy formulation; regularly update the Employee Handbook as necessary.
- Participate actively in daily meetings concerning scheduling, labor management, safety, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with local educational institutions to create internship opportunities.
- Monitor and sustain the employee suggestion program.
- Support safety initiatives, including audits, incident investigations, and maintenance of safety logs as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma is mandatory; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with ADP payroll systems is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software.
