Job Title: Branch Manager

First Supply is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead one of our distribution branches. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving successful financial and talent objectives for your branch, as well as providing local management presence for First Supply customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for attainment of financial goals as established by the Regional General Manager and approved by the Board of Directors
  • Support the corporate educational plan for facility staff and ensure follow-through
  • Enforce corporate directed programs, including marketing, sales, purchasing, distribution, accounting/finance, safety, education, and employee services
  • Assume primary responsibility for efficient, cost-effective facility operation
  • Work closely with the Regional General Manager on budget and sales forecasts
  • Assist Corporate Credit staff with collection of customer accounts
  • Approve wage, bonus, and commission schedules in line with budget and operating constraints
  • Work within budgetary and corporate guidelines on expenditures for capital equipment with the Regional Operations Manager and Regional General Manager
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the facility, overseeing work accomplished by managers and supervisors; ensure work is consistent with corporate policies and objectives
  • Ensure inventory management consistent with sales, cash flow, and financial goals
  • Oversee sales, delivery, distribution, pricing, accounting, and customer service
  • Assume responsibility for the physical plant and maintenance
  • Review financial and operating reports; monitor all departments on a daily basis
  • Serve as the principal public relations spokesperson for the facility
  • Conduct regular staff meetings
  • Interact effectively with customers, maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Keep abreast of industry trends; attend trade shows, conventions, and seminars as appropriate or as directed
  • Perform the duties inherent in all supervisory positions
  • Promote equal opportunity and affirmative action employment practices
  • Direct training duties as needed
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Regional General Manager
Qualifications:
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience with demonstrated success
  • 3+ years of experience in a wholesale distribution enterprise
  • 2+ years of experience with plumbing, HVAC, or fluid handling
  • Solid computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • ERP experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with customers effectively in person and by telephone
