Job Summary

BioLife Solutions is a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of class-defining cell and gene therapy bioproduction tools and services. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SOX Analyst to support our Sr. Internal Control & SOX Manager in planning and execution of the SOX program.

This role will drive success by providing expertise, recommendations to improve the general control environment, and partnering with control owners to ensure efficient and well-controlled processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute SOX compliance activities, including understanding of business processes through conducting and leading walkthroughs, and perform testing of design and operational effectiveness of key SOX controls
  • Participate in advisory capacity on all end-to-end process design sessions to ensure proper control considerations are incorporated for new system implementations
  • Build relationships with business partners across the organization to ensure collective success, while maintaining professional objectivity and independence
  • Document accurate and detailed workpapers clearly and efficiently to communicate the test, the results of the tests, and conclusions
  • Evaluate control deficiencies, including collaborating with control owners on root cause identification, mitigating controls, impact analysis, and remediation plans
  • Provide clear and timely communication of status, issues, and roadblocks to the Sr. Manager to facilitate project planning
  • Perform administrator tasks utilizing our SOX tool, AuditBoard, including provisioning access, issuing document requests, and ensuring control information is current
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of SOX Compliance, control frameworks (COSO, COBIT), risk assessment
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong financial systems expertise; preferably with ERP implementations
  • Experience in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them within defined deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Possess a collaborative work style, while being equally able to operate independently
  • Be comfortable in tackling ambiguous tasks
  • Possess strong integrity and ethical standards
Specifications
  • Required Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 4+ years SOX or auditing experience, preferable in public accounting
    • Qualified CPA preferred
    • Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory costing
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel user
    • Internal control, SOX 404(b) experience

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $81,329 - $130,104 per year.
