About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and mission-aligned bilingual Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team at School in the Square. As a key member of our School Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in delivering rigorous and engaging instruction, while also focusing on the social-emotional needs of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement research-based instructional strategies to support bilingual teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners
  • Provide high-quality instruction and support to students, including those with varying levels of English proficiency
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning and academic achievement
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a full-time early childhood classroom teacher
  • Experience working in an urban charter school setting preferred
  • Bilingual extension preferred
What We Offer

At School in the Square, we take care of our staff as much as we do our students. We offer a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $90,000, depending on experience, level of education, required certifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid life insurance, a 401K program with a 6% organizational match, longevity bonus, generous paid time off, and access to a federal student loan debt reduction program.
