Lead Teacher Opportunity at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Teacher to join our award-winning Early Childhood Center (ECC) at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. Our ECC is a model program and lab school for innovation, providing comprehensive educational, developmental, and social services to 147 very low-income preschoolers and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Assistant Teachers to create a developmentally appropriate learning environment
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate children's development
  • Perform ongoing assessments to differentiate children's strengths and needs
  • Promote parent engagement through regular class meetings, parent conferences, and home visits
  • Work with providers to adapt individualized curriculum for children with special needs

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with NYS certification preferred
  • BA with NYS certification required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
