Key Responsibilities- Visual Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct thorough visual inspections of plastic products or components at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify any defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities.
- Dimensional Measurements and Testing: Perform dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools to verify product accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Functional and Performance Testing: Perform functional or performance tests on plastic parts or finished products to ensure they meet required standards and functionality.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record and document inspection results, including any defects or non-compliance identified, using appropriate forms, reports, or databases.
- Process Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor and assess production processes related to plastics manufacturing, such as injection molding, extrusion, or thermoforming, to identify potential quality issues or process variations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data, such as process parameters, material characteristics, or machine settings, to assess process stability and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, or supervisors to implement corrective actions or process adjustments to improve product quality and consistency.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in plastics technology, quality assurance, or related field is preferred. At least 2 years of prior quality control experience in plastics manufacturing.
- Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of plastics materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques. Familiarity with measurement tools and instruments used in quality inspection, such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, or quality standards. Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles and data analysis.
- Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and analyze quality issues. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using computer software and data entry for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Full-Time Position: This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $20 per hour.
- Benefits and Compensation: Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts, including weekly pay and a temp-to-hire arrangement.
