Position Overview:

We are looking for dedicated Healthcare Support Specialists at TrustPoint Hospital. In this role, you will provide essential medical and therapeutic assistance under the supervision of nursing or clinical personnel.

TrustPoint Hospital is a modern 217-bed facility offering a wide range of medical and psychiatric services for both inpatient and outpatient care. Our mission is to deliver outstanding treatment to individuals requiring acute physical rehabilitation, as well as adult, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatric care.

Work Schedule:

Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM

Opportunities available for Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the well-being of patients while fostering a positive, supportive, and structured environment under the guidance of the charge nurse or supervisor.
  • Prioritize patient safety through vigilant observation and timely rounds.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms.
  • Assist with patient mobility, including transferring, lifting, and repositioning.
  • Accurately measure and document vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
  • Introduce yourself to patients and visitors promptly, addressing patient requests efficiently.
  • Engage patients in activities that support their treatment goals.
  • Respond to distressed patients calmly, seeking to understand their concerns.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage patient emotions and behaviors, assisting with seclusion and restraints when necessary.
  • Monitor and reinforce positive behavioral changes.
  • Communicate significant changes in patient conditions to nursing staff immediately.
  • Support patients in applying skills learned from healthcare professionals to enhance their physical and mental health.
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy while performing related duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and changing linens.
  • Coordinate patient transportation as needed.
  • Adhere to established work schedules and attendance policies.
  • Follow protocols and standards for patient care diligently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the unit and equipment as directed by professional staff.
  • Document clinical information accurately and in a timely manner in patient records.
  • Collaborate with team members to effectively treat and rehabilitate patients.
  • Exhibit a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards all individuals.
  • Recognize and prioritize patient safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
