We are looking for dedicated Patient Care Technicians at TrustPoint Hospital. In this role, you will provide essential medical and therapeutic support under the supervision of nursing or clinical personnel.

TrustPoint Hospital is a modern 217-bed facility that offers a wide range of medical and psychiatric services for both inpatient and outpatient care. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional treatment to individuals requiring acute physical rehabilitation, as well as adult, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatric care.
Work Shifts:
Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM
Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient well-being by fostering a positive, supportive, and structured environment under the guidance of the charge nurse or supervisor.
- Conduct timely patient observation rounds, which may be assigned every 15 minutes or involve 1:1 patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms.
- Assist in the safe transfer, lifting, and repositioning of patients.
- Measure and document patients' vital signs, height, and weight as required.
- Identify yourself to patients and visitors promptly, addressing patient requests efficiently.
- Engage patients in activities that promote the achievement of their treatment goals.
- Respond to distressed patients in a calm and understanding manner, working to identify the source of their distress.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage patients' emotions and behaviors, and assist with seclusion and restraints when necessary.
- Monitor and reinforce positive behavioral changes in patients.
- Communicate significant changes in patient conditions to nursing staff immediately.
- Support patients in applying skills learned from healthcare professionals to enhance their physical and mental wellness.
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy while performing related duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and changing linens.
- Coordinate patient transportation or provide transfers as needed.
- Adhere to work schedules and maintain overall attendance.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and standards for patient care.
- Assist in cleaning the unit as directed by professional staff, including equipment such as beds and wheelchairs.
- Document clinical information accurately and in a timely manner in patient medical records.
- Collaborate with team members to effectively treat and rehabilitate patients.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards patients and their families, addressing any unmet needs or complaints.
- Prioritize patient safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare team members.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
