Position Title: HVAC Service Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure new HVAC systems, including brazing, line set installation, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning.
- Construct piping systems for drainage, water, and gas, ensuring proper installation of valves and actuators.
- Set up and maintain coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors, and industrial air compressors.
- Conduct start-up, testing, and commissioning of various commercial HVAC equipment such as RTUs, air handlers, and swamp coolers.
- Inspect and test lines and components for leaks, performing necessary repairs through brazing and soldering.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, filter changes, and lubrication of equipment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining commercial HVAC systems, along with a current Universal CFC certification.
- Proficient in working with ladders, roofs, and attics.
- Experience in operating cutting torches and welding equipment.
- Solid understanding of electrical circuits, disconnects, and both low and high voltage wiring.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently in various environments.
- Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools and testing devices required for HVAC work.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
EMCOR Government Services offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, seeking skilled individuals to contribute to our ongoing success.
Compensation: $72.37 Per Hour
